Moldova’s new parliament will convene for its first session

Today, Nikolay Timofti, President of the Republic, signed the decree of convocation following a meeting with party leaders who won parliamentary mandates after in the elections on 30 November 2014.

After receiving their MP cards from the CEC at the session, the MPs will have 10 days to consolidate factions and elect leadership of the Parliament.

After consultations with the parliamentary majority the President will nominate a candidate for the Prime-Minister . The candidate must secure a vote of confidence for his program from the Parliament and the Government within 15 days.
