The 20th century steeped in history not only as a century of scientific and technical innovations, but also as a century of national rebirth and break-up of colonial empires. Among others, the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan was formed and the Declaration of Independence was signed in Tbilissi.
Modern independent Azerbaijan is the result of effective work of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, who cleared the path of Azerbaijan to its rapid development.
