57th Meeting of CIS Advisory Board for Standardization, Metrology and Certification Takes Place

The event brought together via videoconferencing the representatives of the national bodies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Advisory Board for Standardization, Metrology and Certification and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The participants discussed over 20 issues, including the development of draft agreements on technical barriers in mutual trade of the CIS Member Nations, as well as and on the mutual recognition of accreditation of conformity assessment bodies; establishment of a regional organization for accreditation within the CIS; adoption of a number of documents on interstate standardization, etc.

An important outcome of the meeting was the adoption of the Advisory Board Development Strategy until 2030. The document reflects a common vision for the development of the areas of cooperation assigned to the Advisory Board in accordance with the Strategy of the CIS Economic Development until 2030, as well as with the norms and rules of international organizations in the established areas of activity.
