Dmitriy Kobitskiy Sends Greetings to Participants of 24th All-Russia Conference “Relevant Issues of Defense and Security”

Today, the 24^th All-Russia Research and Practice Conference “Relevant Issues of Defense and Security”, aimed at consolidating the efforts of military and civil specialists in raising the efficiency of the activities to strengthen national security and develop military-industrial complex, kicked off in St. Petersburg.

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy sent a welcoming message to the participants of the meeting delivered by his deputy – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) Ivan Mushket.

In his welcoming message, Dmitriy Kobitskiy reminded that the issues of defense and security had always been high on the IPA CIS agenda. Since 1992, the relevant commission has been operating within the Assembly, which coordinates the efforts to approximate military legislation in the CIS Member Nations and prepares the proposals for the implementation of the CIS agreements in the field of defense.

On behalf of Dmitriy Kobitskiy Ivan Mushket invited those present to take part in the Conference “Global Challenges and Threats in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Terrorism and Violent Extremism” to be held by the IPA CIS on 15 April 2021 jointly with the PACE, the OSCE PA, the PAM and the UNOCT.
