First International Arctic Media Congress and Accessible Arctic Forum Take Place in Tavricheskiy Palace

On 18–22 September 2020, the Federal Agency for Tourism holds First International Arctic Media Congress in the margins of the Accessible Arctic Forum as part of Russian chairmanship in the Arctic Council.

The Forum and Media Congress aim to establish an international communication platform to promote the unique tourist potential of the Russian Arctic, attract additional tourist flows and investments in tourism in the Arctic zone regions.

The Accessible Arctic Forum has become a platform for media interaction with representatives of federal and regional authorities, leaders of the tourism industry, the scientific community and all stakeholders that contribute to the development of tourism in the Arctic.

The substantive program of the event features a plenary session Arctic Tourism, Uniqueness and Prospects and a number of roundtables: Russian Arctic in the Media Space; Promising Types of Tourism in the Arctic; Development of the Infrastructure of the Arctic Regions and the Growth of Tourist Flows; Ensuring the Quality and Availability of Tourism Services in the Arctic.
