Modernization of Light Industry Production in CIS to be one of Topics of International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion”

Roundtables “Development of the Technical Textile Market” and “Modernization of Production in the Light Industry: Introduction of Automation and Robotisation” are included in the programme of the third international forum “Commonwealth of Fashion”, which will be held at the Tavricheskiy Palace in November.

The roundtables will be co-organized by the Russian Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs (SOYUZLEGPROM), which unites about 300 large, medium and small enterprises in 42 regions of the country, as well as research and higher educational institutions.

Besides “Production”, the tracks of the forum's business programme will be “Economics”, “Creative Industries”, “Personnel”, “Culture”, “Beauty and Health” and “Fashion Tourism”.

The third international forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” will be held on 19-20 November 2024 at the IPA CIS headquarters – the Tavricheskiy Palace. The Forum is being organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Russian Export Center and SOYUZLEGPROM.

For preparation of the event, a working group has been set up, which includes representatives of executive and legislative authorities, specialized associations, the manufacturing sector, academia and business communities from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The first international forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” was held in October 2022 with the participation of representatives of all the countries of the Commonwealth. Following the results of the Forum, the heads of parliaments of the CIS countries at the session of the IPA CIS Council in Samarkand on 27 October 2022 decided to make it an annual platform for the exchange of experience, opinions, expert information in the field of light industry and fashion.
