On 23 April 2022, the Department of Project Activities in Cinematography and Television of the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television held the international research and practice conference “Current Issues of Legal Regulation on Copyright and Related Rights”. The event took place within the framework of the International Forum Fest “Intellectual Property for the Future”.

Executive Secretary of the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges Stanislav Korostelev and Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport Igor Minin represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the event.

The Conference discussed the issues of copyright protection in the conditions of the digitalization of economy, including various aspects of the use of works, the main types of copyright agreements, protection of copyright and related rights in the cinema industry, interaction of organizations for collective management of authors’ rights, etc.
