Astana hosted a video conference of the CIS Board for the Interaction with WHO

Astana hosted a video conference of the CIS Intergovernmental Board for Interaction with World Health Organization.

The meeting was attended by Head of the IPA CIS Expert and Analytical Directorate Denis Zhuk, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Expert and Analytical Directorate, Head of the Model Law-Making Department in the Sphere of Security and International Legal Cooperation of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Stanislav Korostelev, Secretary of the PC on Social Policy and Human Rights, Executive Secretary, IPA CIS Board of Experts on Public Health Evgenia Vladimirova.

The agenda included 10 issues, such as the drafting of the Algorithm of Preparation and Approval of Proposals for the Promotion of Joint Programs in the field of Public Health on behalf of the CIS in the framework of the WHO and the revised draft Memorandum of Cooperation between the CIS Advisory Board on Public Health and the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

CIS representatives discussed the development of primary health care within the framework of the relevant WHO Global Conference (25-26 October 2018, Astana), preparations for the 68^th session of the WHO Regional Office for Europe (17-20 September 2018, Rome) and the II Regional meeting on improving access to quality and affordable medicines in the countries of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region (November 2018, Minsk), as well as other issues.
