Belarus welcomed ordinary meeting of the Plenipotentiary Council

The meeting took place at the CIS Executive Committee to draft the agenda of the ordinary session of the Council of CIS Heads of State that will be further considered by the Council of Foreign Ministers on 24 October 2013.

The session of the Council of Heads of State will take place on 20 November. IPA CIS Council SG Alexey Sergeev has been invited to attend the meeting.

The heads of state are expected to consider about 30 draft documents in various spheres, including youth cooperation and celebration of the 70^th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945.

Members of the Plenipotentiary Council discussed the sport-related efforts of the parties to the CIS Agreement on Cooperation in Physical Fitness and Sports.

Members of the Plenipotentiary Council welcomed the efforts of the Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and recommended that it continue to implement the related documents. It was also noted that recently this sphere has seen considerable progress in the CIS.
