CIS experts discussed amendments to the Cooperation Agreement on the Protection of People's Health

The additional meeting of the expert group on the revision and approval of the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Cooperation Agreement on the Protection of People's Health took place in Minsk. The plenipotentiary representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrghyz Republic and the Republic of Moldova participated in the meeting. The IPA CIS Council Secretariat was represented by Yuriy Andreev.

The participants reviewed the comments and proposals received from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Moldova, as well as the proposal of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat to include the following paragraph in the draft Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Cooperation Agreement on the Protection of People's Health of 26 June 1992in its item 1 of the General Provisions section: "The Council shall include the representatives of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations having the consultative voting rights". The plenipotentiary representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrghyz Republic and the Republic of Moldova unanimously supported the proposal of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.

The materials of the additional meeting of the expert group will be sent to the countries of the Commonwealth for the domestic coordination of the draft Protocol on Amendments and Additions Cooperation Agreement on the Protection of People's Health of 26 June 1992, and then the document will be submitted to the Council of CIS Heads of Government.
