CIS released stamps devoted to the 25th anniversary of the CIS

The Russian Post released a news stamp devoted to the 25th anniversary of the CIS. The size of the stamp is 37x37mm and its circulation is 288,000. It depicts the CIS emblem and shows the anniversary date.
The stamp has a limited edition and can be bought only at special philatelic shops of the Russian Post. Along with the new stamp, the Russian Post also produced special envelopes with anniversary postmarks.
According to Head of the Corporate Communications Department of the Russian Post Ekaterina Krudova, commemorative stamps increase their value with time. We have a special postmark for Moscow and stamps with this postmark are of outstanding value among philatelists.
The price of the stamp is 17 roubles, which is enough for sending a letter across Russia. For sending a letter abroad, the sender will need 2 stamps.
The stamps devoted to the 25th anniversary of the CIS were also released in the Kyrgyz Republic and in the Republic of Tajikistan.
