Commonwealth experts finalized the Agreement on the Coordination of the Intergovernmental Relations in the Field of Fundamental Studies

Representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee experts took part in the meeting in Minsk.

The adoption of the agreement will contribute to the building of a common scientific space and a holistic mechanism of cooperation in the sphere of the Commonwealth research activity, as well as to the development of the research and technologic potential of organizations working in the field of fundamental science, the unification of research structures and individual scientists within the framework of the implementation of promising research programs and fundamental studies projects, the improvement of intergovernmental multilateral mechanisms for financing scientific projects, and, therefore, increasing the competitiveness of the scientific sphere and the CIS member states in general.
