Economists discuss integration efforts in Moscow

CIS Execom Sergey Lebedev attended the session which focused on economic integration efforts, namely on the draft action plan to implement the third stage of the 2020 CIS Economic Growth Strategy, the Convention on Cross-regional Cooperation, customs-related issues and support of war veterans.

The session discussed the progress in implementing the Agreement on Free Trade of 18 October 2011 and the intergovernmental program on the regeneration of territories affected by uranium mining. Other focuses included the activities of the CIS Electric Power Generation Board and the CIS Steering Committee of the Heads of Fiscal Authorities, the discussion of renewable energy strategies, banking regulatory framework, promoting financial education and better awareness, and piling up the general list of competitive products of CIS enterprises.

The recommendations of the session will be put to consideration of the CIS Economic Council.
