First 2018 meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives to take place in Minsk

On 30 January, this year's first meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth under the chairmanship of the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Mahmadsharif Khakdod will take place at the CIS Execom.

According to the CIS Executive Committee press-service, the members of the Council will draft the agenda of the regular meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers to be held in Minsk on 6 April. In particular, it features the items on political cooperation, as well as the documents related to the CIS work to combat crimes in the field of information technologies, counter the legalization of illegally-earned incomes, financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

During the meeting, the CIS permanent plenipotentiary representatives will approve the action plan for 2018 which is to consider issues in various areas of cooperation among the CIS countries, drafting the agendas of the meeting of the CIS supreme bodies, and implementation of the adopted documents.
