Meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Kazan

The meeting was chaired by Head of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and attended by Chairman of the Executive Committee and CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.

Heads of Government discussed a wide range of questions in the integration field and signed a number of agreements, such as the CIS Cooperation Agreement on Training, Professional and Career Enhancement of Specialists in the Field of Geodesy, Mapping, Land Register and Remote Probing of Earth, the Agreement on Cooperation in Combating the Production and Distribution of Counterfeit Products, etc.

The participants of the meeting signed the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation in the Area of Legal Protection of Intellectual Property and on Establishment of Intergovernmental Council on Legal Protection of Intellectual Property adopted on 19 November 2010. They also approved the plan of priority measures for the implementation of the CIS International Transport Security Strategy for 2017–2019, the Action Plan on the Implementation of the CIS 2020 Intergovernmental Program of Innovation Cooperation, the CIS 2020 Intergovernmental Radio Navigation Program and other documents.
