Meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government to take place on 1 June in Dushanbe

On 1 June, the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government will be held in Dushanbe under the presidency of Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda.

The event will be held in two formats. In the smaller session the heads of the delegations will share views on relevant issues of economic cooperation and discuss the negotiation process on the draft Agreement on Free Trade in Services.

During the extended meeting it is expected to sign the important documents such as the CIS Concept in the Field of Innovative Energy Development and the plan of priority actions on its implementation, the CIS Agreement on the Formation and Development of the Intellectual Property Market.

The participants of the meeting will consider the documents related to the cooperation in the field of electronic and electrical waste management, intergovernmental standardization, engagement in the field of customs operations and innovations. They are also expected to agree and adopt the CIS Package of Measures to Prevent and Combat Rabies until 2025.

The agenda also includes the consideration of the Provisions on the CIS Congress of Teachers and Educators and the discussion of the International Youth Project “100 Ideas for the CIS”.
