The Commission on Economics of the CIS Economics Council was held in Moscow

The regular meeting of the Commission on Economics of the CIS Economics Council was held in the capital of the Russian Federation. It was attended by plenipotentiary representatives of the Commission and representatives of interstate and intergovernmental bodies of the CIS. Deputy Chair of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Ivanov also attended the meeting.
The meeting was presided by Oleg Peskov, the plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The agenda included the issues of cooperation in economics, the draft Protocol of the CIS Member States on the free trade area dated 18 October 2011, Interstate Cooperation Programme on Innovations up to 2020, the tariff policy for railway transport and railroads of the CIS for freight year 2015, census of 2020, insurance market of the CIS, housing programmes and the work of the main bodies in Economics for 2014-2015.
The participants also discussed the implementation of the Perspective Plan for natural resource use and protection in 2011-2015, cross-boarder cooperation for 2014-2015. The participants also reviewed the trade policy of the Russian Federation.
All the observations were duly noted and the draft documents will be issued.
