VII Nevsky International Ecological Congress is to be open

he Congress will focus on environmental safety, resource management and legislative support and is aimed at promoting cooperation with foreign partners in the field of environment protection.

The program of the Congress includes six round-table sessions. The rational use of natural resources, ecological tourism and legislative support of environmental initiatives are under the spotlight.

The organizers hope the congress will result in new ideas of model acts, that are developed by the IPA CIS.

According to the Secretary General of the IPA CIS Alexey Sergeev, this year the forum will emphasize new strategies of environmental safety and their implementation.

The congress is a biennial event with its traditional venue in the Tavricheskiy Palace. This year the congress will be swept with the Green Wave, a tree-planting initiative for the participants who will have the opportunity to plant 70 trees and bushes in the Tavricheskiy Garden.
