Delegates of European Youth Parliament visited IPA CIS headquarters
28 March 2014
The Youth Parliament includes delegates from Great Britain, Denmark, Germany, Russia and Sweden. At its meeting they discuss energy supply, poverty, unemployment, culture, problems of youth and environment.
The theme of this year’s session in St. Petersburg is Young People: Rights and Obligations.
European Youth Parliament emerged from the Multilateral School Partnerships program in December 1992 under the leadership of the Commission of European Communities. Its objective is to facilitate inclusion of teenagers into adult social life. The pioneers of the project believe that every teenager ought to take ownership in the future of their home countries and the world at large by learning the basics of governance.
