To the participants and guests of the IV Nevsky International Ecological Congress

I welcome the participants and guests of the Fourth Nevsky International Ecological Congress.

Over the recent years your Forum has convincingly proven its relevance and viability. It has become a traditional and regular event in the international professional community. Today once again it brings together prominent scientists, experts, representatives of public authorities and business communities from many countries for a detailed and substantive discussion of the most important issues related to the environmental protection, international system of environmental security and improvement of legislation in natural resource managment. Effective solutions of these issues is crucial for sustainable social and economic development of countries, strengthening of global environmental security, preservation of precious flora and fauna on our planet, and most importantly, human life and health.

I am convinced that you will use the Congress to engage yourselves in constructive exchanges with practical recommendations.

May I wish you fruitful and constructive work.
