CEC of Republic of Uzbekistan Registered Five Presidential Candidates

On 14 September 2021, a regular meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place. During the meeting, the MPs considered documents and signature lists in support of the nominated presidential candidates from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” and the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.
According to the results of the verification, Maksud Varisov (People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan), Shavkat Mirziyoyev (Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan) and Bakhrom Abdukhalimov (Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat”) were registered as candidates for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Taking into account the previously registered Alisher Kodirov (Uzbekistan National Revival Democratic Party) and Narzullo Oblomuradov (Ecological Party of the Republic of Uzbekistan), the number of the presidential candidates has reached five.
