Commonwealth MPs Met With Speaker of Lower Chamber of Tajikistan Parliament Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda Zoir

The IPA CIS international observes at the presidential elections in the Republic of Tajikistan led by Team Coordinator Oleg Melnichenko discussed holding of the election campaign with Speaker of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda Zoir.
During the meeting with the observers, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda Zoir noted the growing activity of participants in the electoral process in the Republic of Tajikistan. The Speaker welcomed the MPs of the Commonwealth countries and wished them fruitful and effective work.
Observer Team Coordinator, Chair of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Government and Northern Affairs Oleg Melnichenko briefed Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda Zoir on the analytical report on the long-term monitoring of the presidential elections in the Republic of Tajikistan, which had been conducted by the expert group of the IPA CIS IIMDD in September 2020.
Oleg Melnichenko also informed the Speaker of the lower chamber about the plans of work on the voting day.
