Experts Discussed Issues of Establishment of CIS Advisory Board of Heads of Electoral Bodies

Today, a meeting of the expert group of the CIS Member Nations on the establishment of the CIS Advisory Board of Heads of Electoral Bodies was held via videoconferencing.

The event brought together the representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee, ministries and agencies of the CIS Member Nations. The IPA CIS Council Secretariat was represented by Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) Ivan Mushket.

The initiative of the CEC of the Republic of Uzbekistan to establish the Advisory Council of Heads of Electoral Bodies with the participation of the representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly was approved by the conference participants and supported in the final resolution of the event.
