Fifty-Four IPA CIS Observers to Monitor Referendum in Kyrgyz Republic on 11 April

The CIS MPs and the IPA CIS Council Secretariat staff members headed by Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy, as well as the experts of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) arrive in Bishkek to observe the referendum on the draft new Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic. The national vote will take place  on Sunday, 11 April.

The Observer Team is headed by Chairman of the Committee of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on Ensuring Constitutional Principles, Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms and the Rule of Law, member of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues Dilshod Rahmon. Fifty-Four IPA CIS observers are to work in Kyrgyzstan and on foreign polling stations on that day.

The program of the international observers features meeting with the leadership of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Central Commission on Elections and Referenda, the General Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
