IPA CIS Observers Met With Leadership of General Prosecutor’s Office of Kyrgyz Republic

The IPA CIS Observers began monitoring the referendum on the draft Law on the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic. On 9 April the observers met with the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Abai Moldokmatov.
IPA CIS Observer Team Coordinator, Chair of the Committee of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on Ensuring Constitutional Principles, Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms and the Rule of Law, Member of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues Dilshod Rahmon informed Abai Moldokmatov about the Observer Team composition, its work program, scheduled meetings, routes and methods of monitoring practices.
In turn, Abai Moldokmatov told the observers about the measures taken by the authorities of the Republic at all stages of the electoral campaign.
The parties discussed ensuring law and order during the preparation and conduct of voting.
