IPA CIS IIMDD Bishkek Office Summarized Results of Work in 2022

On January 13, a meeting summing up the results of the work of the Bishkek office of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) in 2022 was held via videoconferencing in the Tavricheskiy Palace.

Deputy Secretary General, IPA CIS Council Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – IPA CIS IIMDD Director  Ivan Mushket, institute staff members, experts Dmitry Baryshnikov, Anatoliy Boyashev, Olga Popova, Alexander Potyakin participated in the event.

Summing up the results of 2022, Director of the IPA CIS IIMDD Bishkek Office Islambek Musabekov spoke about participation of the office’s staff members in monitoring constitutional referendum in the Republic of Kazakhstan and early presidential elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The head of the office also informed participants of the meeting about scientific research “The role of the Internet and social networks in elections” and “Constitutional reforms in Kyrgyzstan” conducted by the office. In his report Islambek Musabekov summed up the results of work on legal education of young people, particularly, the launch of summer school “Youth of Kyrgyzstan and digitalization: influence on political processes” together with partner universities of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.

In 2023, the Bishkek office will have to carry out planned tasks, as well as assist in organizing field events in Kyrgyzstan. The meeting of the IPA CIS Council, plenary session of the Assembly, as well as a meeting of the IPA CIS Budget Oversight Commission are planned to be held in the republic in 2023.
