Results of Activities of IPA CIS IIMDD Yerevan Office in 2022 Discussed

On 20 January, a meeting of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) and its Yerevan office took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace via videoconferencing, during which the participants drew outcomes of the activities of the organization in 2022.

The event was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council — Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hyak Chilingaryan, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – IPA CIS IIMDD Director Ivan Musket, staff members of the IPA CIS IIMDD, experts Olga Popova and Alexander Potyakin.

Director of the IPA CIS IMDD Yerevan office, doctor of law, professor Vahram Avetisyan presented a report on the activities carried out in 2022. He elaborated on the completion of the studies “The influence of the Electoral System on the Implementation of Democracy” and “Democracy and Elections. Activities of Local Government Bodies in the Republic of Armenia”. The results of the studies were discussed at roundtables with the participation of representatives of the executive, legislative and judicial authorities of the Republic of Armenia, as well as electoral management bodies.

Head of the Department on the IIMDD IPA CIS offices management Alexander Ksendzov and head of the Analytical Department Roman Amburtsev took part in the discussion of the report by the head of the Yerevan office.
