IPA CIS International Observers Outlined Work Program for Parliamentary Elections in Kyrgyz Republic

The IPA CIS international observers at the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic held an organizational meeting it Bishkek.

The meeting was opened by coordinator of the IPA CIS Observer Team, Chairperson of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Yerman and Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Dmitriy Kobitskiy.

The MPs from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the representatives of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, including the IIMDD IPA CIS staff members and experts, arrived in Kyrgyzstan to observe the progress of the parliamentary elections.

During the organizational meeting the observers outlined a work plan for the coming days. Today they will have a number of meetings with the representatives of the headquarters of the parties participating in the elections.

Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS Ivan Mushket briefed the meeting participants on the work program of the IPA CIS international observers.
