IPA CIS Observers Meet With Speaker of Parliament of Republic of Moldova Zinaida Greceanîi

The IPA CIS international observers at the presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova headed by Team Coordinator, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Adil Aliyev held a meeting with Speaker of Parliament of Republic of Moldova Zinaida Greceanîi.
The parties discussed the electoral campaign and noted the importance of international monitoring for the development of democracy and observance of electoral rights and freedoms.
The Team Coordinator Adil Aliyev briefed Zinaida Greceanîi on the analytical report on the long-term monitoring of the presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova performed by the IPA CIS IIMDD expert group and informed the Speaker on the workplan on the election day.
Zinaida Greceanîi thanked the CIS MPs for responding to the invitation and coming to observe the elections. “International assessment is very important – we are interested in holding transparent and democratic elections”, noted the Speaker.
The head of the Parliament wished the observers fruitful work.
