IPA CIS Observers Met With Participants of Moldovan Parliamentary Elections

On 24 and 25 June 2021, the IPA CIS observers held meetings with heads of the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Moldova Andrei Galbul, Iurie Ciocan and Cristina Lestnik, President of the Ecologist Green Party Vitalie Marinuta, candidates from the electoral bloc of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova and the Party of Communists of Moldova Bogdan Tirbu and Gaik Vartanian, as well as Head of the electoral headquarters of the Democracy at Home party Sergei Cheban.

The meetings discussed the quality of election administration, the opening of polling stations in foreign countries, the formation of electoral funds, the conduct of election campaigning, including in social networks and messengers, as well as the activities of national observers. The participants of the meetings stressed that the work of the Central Election Commission on the preparation of early parliamentary elections was carried out professionally. They also noted that the early nature of the electoral campaign created certain difficulties for the CEC.
