CIS Observer Mission Met with Leadership of Central Election Commission of Republic of Moldova

On 24 June, the CIS Observer Mission and the IPA CIS Observer Team at the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova started their activity with a meeting with Chairman of the Central Election Commission Dorin Cimil, Deputy Chairman Vladimir Sarban, Secretary Maxim Lebedinschi and CEC member Vadim Filipov.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS Ivan Mushket greeted the CEC leadership on behalf of Head of the Mission, IPA CIS Council Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy and introduced Head of the Mission headquarters Evgeniy Kozyak.

Dorin Cimil briefed the international observers on the main organizational stages of preparation for the voting day. He highly appreciated the observation methodology used by the CIS observers and noted its practical results during the monitoring of the presidential, parliamentary, local elections and referenda in the Republic of Moldova.

The early elections to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova are scheduled for 11 July 2021.
