IPA CIS Observers Monitor Referendum Early Voting in Uzbekistan

The IPA CIS International observers monitored the early voting of the constitutional referendum of Uzbekistan on 24 April 2023, that took place at a polling station opened at the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg.

The IPA CIS Observer Team noted that the voting process complied with the rules and regulations established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Citizens actively participate in the referendum - in the first half of 24 April, 56 people voted at the polling station abroad. Early voting began on 19 April 2023 and will continue through 26 April.

The constitutional referendum in Uzbekistan is scheduled for 30 April 2023. On that day, a group of the IPA CIS international observers, including MPs of Commonwealth countries, IPA CIS officials and experts from International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), will visit polling stations in the capital and regions of Uzbekistan.
