IPA CIS Observers Started Long-term Monitoring of Early Elections to National Assembly of Armenia

On 2 June 2021, the meeting of the IPA CIS observers with representatives of the Civil Contact party took place via videoconferencing.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the IPA CIS IIMDD Ivan Mushket, staff members of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat and experts of the IPA CIS IIMDD represented the IPA CIS international observers at the meeting.

Representatives of the Civil Contract party, candidates for the National Assembly Vladimir Vardianyan, Anush Begloyan and Aleksey Sandykov highly appreciated the activities of the IPA CIS international observers and the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to changes in the electoral legislation of the Republic of Armenia, the beginning of the election campaign, the formation of the voter list, as well as the impact of the taken sanitary measures on the campaign.
