IPA CIS Observers Work in Northwest Russia

Representatives of the Commonwealth parliaments and the IPA CIS Observer Team members at the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation are observing elections in the Leningrad, Novgorod and Pskov regions.

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hayk Chilingaryan and Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut visited polling stations in Tosno, Leningrad region. Today, the observers monitored the voting and assessed the work of the public observation headquarters in Novgorod.

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhtovar Safarzoda observed the voting and held meetings at election commissions of different levels in Luga, Leningrad Region. In addition, Bakhtovar Safarzoda visited the polling stations in Pskov today.

The results of the monitoring will form the basis for the preparation of a conclusion, which the observers will present after the elections.
