Konstantin Kosachev Appointed IPA CIS Observer Team Coordinator at Referendum in Republic of Belarus

At the proposal of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev has been appointed the IPA CIS Observer Team Coordinator during the monitoring of the republican referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.
A monitoring group is being formed from among the representatives of the national parliaments of the IPA CIS Member Nations, staff members of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat and experts of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD).
The IPA CIS Observer Team will arrive in the Republic of Belarus next week.
The referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus will be held on 27 February 2022.
