Long-term Monitoring of Presidential Election in Belarus Continues

The IPA CIS international observers met with candidate for the presidency of Belarus, chair of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus (LDPB) Oleg Gaidukevich.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket informed the party representatives about the composition of the group. He also drew attention to the fact that the Assembly’s observers adhere to the principles enshrined in the Convention on Standards of Democratic Elections in the CIS: respect for state sovereignty, non-interference in the electoral process and objectivity.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Shabdanbek Alishev, IPA CIS IIMDD Deputy Director Elena Eremenko, IPA CIS IIMDD expert Dmitry Mokhorov, member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Alexander Asafov, the IPA CIS IIMDD staff members.
