School Quiz “I Know How to Elect” was Held in Tavricheskiy Palace

On 17 October, at the headquarters of the IPA CIS - Tavricheskiy Palace - the Quiz “I know how to elect” was held. It was attended by more than 160 high school students from Kolpino, Primorskiy, Pushkinskiy and Central districts of St. Petersburg and Volkhovskiy, Vsevolozhskiy, Kirishi, Lodeynopolskiy and Lomonosovskiy districts of the Leningrad region.

The event was organized by the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD).

The aim of the quiz was to raise the level of legal culture of students, to provide them with additional knowledge on electoral law and to stimulate the interest of future voters to participate in electoral processes.

On behalf of Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy, his deputy, Director of the IPA CIS IIMDD, Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

After the main part of the quiz Director of the Center for Eurasian Cooperation of the North-west Institute of Management University of the RANEPA, Candidate of Historical Sciences Petr Samsonov addressed the participants of the event and told about the development of the election institution and its role in the history of Russia, as well as about the importance of youth participation in the electoral process.
