Zinaida Greceanîi Meets Head of CIS Mission and IPA CIS Observer Team

Head of the CIS Observer Mission, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy and the IPA CIS Observer Team headed by member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Iskender Matraimov discussed the peculiarities of the preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections with Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Zinaida Greceanîi.

Zinaida Greceanîi characterized the current election campaign as difficult, which was largely due to its extraordinary nature. The Speaker of the Parliament noted the importance of international observation of the elections not only on the territory of Moldova, but also at foreign polling stations both in the CIS and abroad.

Head of the Mission, IPA CIS Council Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy told the Speaker of the Parliament about the group that would observe the elections, as well as about the previous meetings of the observers with the leadership of the Government and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Moldova, the visit of the observers to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova.
