Appointment of the coordinator of the IPA CIS observer team at the elections to the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko appointed Vice-Speaker of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Valekh Aleskerov as Coordinator of the IPA CIS observer team to monitor the early elections to the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Member of the Eni Azerbaijan political party since 2005, Valekh Aleskerov chairs the Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment, leads the EU-Azerbaijan Committee for interparliamentary cooperation and co-chairs the Azerbaijan-Russia bi-lateral interparliamentary commission.

The IPA CIS Observer Team will monitor the elections in Kazakhstan that will take place on 20 March 2016.
