Armenia sums up the constitutional referendum results

The Central election Commission of the Republic of Armenia reviews the results of the constitutional reform referendum that took place on 6 December 2015.

The citizens of Armenia mostly voted for the parliamentary republic – 63.7%.

The constitutional referendum was observed by the team of the IPA CIS international observers, represented by 23 parliamentarians from 6 member states of the IPA CIS, representatives of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat and the experts of the International Institute for Monitoring Democratic and Parliamentary Process and Suffrage in the CIS. The team was coordinated by the Speaker of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan Akramsho Felaliev.

According to the observers the referendum proved to be transparent and allowed the citizens of the Republic of Armenia to express their opinion on the constitutional reform.
