Day of Silence in Tajikistan

Tajikistan announced a national Day of Silence on the eve of presidential elections due to take place tomorrow. The silence break is meant to provide time for contemplation and concentration. The law strictly prohibits all kinds of campaigning during the 24 hours prior to elections. According to NCEC, there are six thousand local and 550 international observers in the country.
