Dmitriy Gladei participated in the roundtable organized by the Civic Chamber of St. Petersburg

Dmitriy Gladei, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS delivered a message at the roundtable organized by the Civic Chamber of St. Petersburg for the heads and representatives of the regional headquarters of the candidates to the post of the President of the Russian Federation, political parties and civil society organizations of the city.

The event brought together the members of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights, the Election Commission of St. Petersburg, representatives of the campaign offices of Vladimir Putin, Maksim Suraikin, Boris Titov, the civil society movement For Clear Elections, the National Civic Monitoring network, and OSCE missions.

Vladimir Shamakhov, Head of the Working Group of the Civic Chamber of St. Petersburg on Сivic Oversight of Suffrage Protection of Citizens, spoke about the training seminars for 4000 civic observers organized in all the districts of St. Petersburg, as well as about the work of the Center of Citizens’ Inquiry Center of the Civic Chamber to provide assistance to voters.

Regional Coordinator of the civil society movement For Clear Elections Dmitriy Kukhto noted the interest of the young people in being involved in election observation.

Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS Dmitriy Gladei informed the participants on the activity of the IPA CIS international observers during the long-term monitoring, including their visits to the Moscow, Leningrad, Vladimir, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Pskov, Rostov and Tver regions to review the status of the preparation for the elections.
