Conference in Chisinau
The conference is co-organized by IMDP IPA CIS, Moldovan Academy of Sciences, the CEC, the Institute for Legal and Political Research at the Academy of Sciences, the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of Moldova and themed Electoral Processes in the Republic of Moldova: Status, Trends and Future.
The Conference heard reports on the most relevant issues in improving the electoral framework of Moldova. Eugeniu Stirbu, Director, IMDP IPA CIS Chisinau, presented his welcoming remarks to the guests.
Andrey Baranov, Director, IMDP IPA CIS, also attended the Conference. ”Moldova’s sound political future can be secured through a framework that will cater for people’s aspirations and a political context favorable for strengthening national governance and avoiding rough forms of civil action. Promoting this path while using domestic capacities and building on the best practices of the CIS in reconciling political leadership and society, reflected, inter alia, in the law-making effort of the IPA CIS, Moldova is capable of achieving tangible results in building a patriotic and inclusive state”, said A. Baranov.
