International observers provide significant assistance

Today, the Team of IPA CIS international observers met Mazakhir Panakhov, Chairman, CEC of Azerbaijan. Mr. Panakhov briefed the Team on the final preparation to the elections and noted high quality of monitoring provided by the IPA CIS.

Oleg Lebedev, First Deputy Chairman, State Douma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Outreach to Compatriotic Communities, passed the report on long-term monitoring to the CEC Chairman and stated that observers did not detect violations of the effective election law.

Mazakhir Panakhov noted that they organized many public-awareness campaigns. 51989 local observers will work at the elections.
