IPA CIS Observer Team performs long-term monitoring of the election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the southern regions of the country

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Director of the International Institute of Monitoring Democracy, Parliamentarism and Suffrage for the IPA CIS Member Nations Dmitriy Gladey and Head of Department on Working with the IIMDD IPA CIS Branches Roman Amburtsev continue their working visit to the southern regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The IPA CIS observers informed Deputy Shimkent akim Gulzhan Kurmanbekova about their activities in the framework of monitoring the upcoming snap elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. TEC Chair of the Shimkent city Yerlan Dauylbaev told them about the current activities of the commission.

The observers also met with the leadership of the local headquarters of presidential candidates. At the meetings the parties discussed the details of the election campaign.
