IPA CIS Observer Team took part in the final press-conference of the CIS Observer Mission

The CIS Observer Mission hosted the press-conference on the outcomes of the current monitoring effort in Tajikistan. The press-conference brought together Vladimir Garkun, Coordinator of the CIS Mission, and Ermine Naghdalyan, Coordinator of the IPA CIS Mission, as well as MPs and experts.

The colleagues shared impressions on the work done and noted the friendly environment throughout the referendum and the overall high quality and standards of organization at polling stations.

Talking to the press, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Sergeev noted: "On the day of the referendum our observers visited 83 polling stations. We observed the opening of the stations and the voting process, as well as canvassing procedures and drafting of final protocols at some of the stations. The general conclusion made by our observers was that the referendum was organized in full compliance with the law of Tajikistan and international legal standards".
