IPA CIS observers begin short-term monitoring of parliamentary election in Moldova

IPA CIS observers begin short-term monitoring of the parliamentary election in the Republic of Moldova scheduled on February 24.

Team Coordinator, Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bektas Beknazarov and Acting Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitry Kobitsky led the organizational meeting. The meeting announced responsibilities of the Team and highlighted the basic principles that international observers should follow in their work.

Head of the IPA CIS IIMDD Expert Group Dmitry Baryshnikov reported on the results of the long-term monitoring, as well as on analytical and background documents prepared by the experts.

IPA CIS IIMDD observers took part in the meeting organized by the CEC of the Republic of Moldova for candidates and accredited missions of international observers with the media participation. The information from the meeting will be used in the preparation of outcome documents.
