IPA CIS Observers Meet Party Leaders of Republic of Belarus

On 17 October, within the long-term monitoring of the elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the IPA CIS Observer Team visited several district election commissions in Minsk.
Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS Baku Office Elman Imamaliyev headed the observer team.
The observers visited election commissions № 94 and № 95 and participated in the meetings on the registration of candidates. The registered candidates were informed on further actions, the refused applicants were explicitly informed on the possibility to appeal the decision.
On the same day, the IPA CIS observers met with Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich and members of the party. They exchanged opinions on the electoral campaign, got acquainted with the goals and objectives of the party for the current elections, as well as the preparation for the public awareness campaign.
The observers also met with Leader of the Belarusian Patriotic Party Nikolay Ulakhovich, who told that the party put forward 18 candidates in the capital and three regions of the Republic of Belarus and looks forward to the results of the registration.
