Kazakhstan will elect Members of the Mazhilis

Yesterday President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev adopted a decree on the dissolution of the V Parliament. The snap election to Mazhilis will take place on 20 March 2016.

According to Kuandyk Turgankulov, Head of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan, 107 members will be elected to the Mazhilis of the Parliament.

On 13 January 2016, the parliamentarians put forward an initiative on the early dissolution of the V parliament. The initiative was unanimously approved by the representatives of the 3 parties of the Mazhilis.
