Organizational meeting of the IPA CIS International Observer Team took place in Yerevan

Organizational meeting of the IPA CIS Observer Team took place in the capital of the Republic of Armenia. The IPA CIS Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Alexey Sergeev opened the meeting.

Head of the Expert Group of the IPA CIS IIMDD Roman Amburtsev informed the participants on the results of the work of the Expert Group.

Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS Dmitriy Gladey spoke about the modus operandi of the IPA CIS International Observers Team and mentioned that during the short-term monitoring a number of meetings was scheduled, including with Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov, Chairman of the Central Election Committee of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mukuchyan, heads of the election blocs “Oganyan-Raffi-Oskanyan” and “Tsarukyan”, and members of observer teams of international organizations.

The IIMDD IPA CIS Director also noted that on the voting day, 2 April, the observers will monitor the polling stations according to their individual routes, including in Yerevan and in the settlements of five "marzes" of the Republic of Armenia: Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik and Kotayk.
